Dusty Dog Farm offers a fun and cheerful atmosphere for learning. We welcome children and adults of all ages from beginner to advanced riders to enjoy lessons in a beautiful setting beneath Mt. Monadnock.

Dusty Dog Farm specializes giving quality lessons, providing a safe and welcoming environment for people of all ages to ride. We are located at the foot of Mt Monadnock in Keene NH. Our focus is Hunter/Jumpers and a division of our team is active on the show circuit up and down the East coast. Lessons are given on a year around basis, beginner to advanced. If a student desires, we provide help looking for that special partner... as well as help selling horses that need to find a new home. The farm itself is a diverse and interesting organization....we produce our own hay (and sell what we do not use), we raise cows, and are trying our hands in Beekeeping!

  Our History
Dusty Dog Farm has been in business since June 1, 2006. A small elite hunter/jumper barn, it offers a wonderful program for the dedicated horse lover in this discipline.

The farm is named after Dusty, a yorkie/pom cross. He was purchased in Feb. 2006 and his exuberant personality required that he have the farm named after him! He kept the owners and staff amused and on our toes 24 hrs. a day! Sadly, Dusty Dog passed in October of 2013, but his presence lives-on at the farm.

Christina Major
Christina has spent her life dedicated to the training of horses and riders in the Hunter/Jumper world. She has co-owned Dusty Dog Horse Farm since 2006 and is the head trainer at the farm.

Christina grew up in Vermont on her family farm. She learned to ride there and furthered her young education in the horse industry with Joe Forest, Horton's Farm. She attended Mt. Holyoke College and during her 4 years there, was captain if the ISHA team 3 years. Leading the team to nationals twice. Upon graduation, she began catch riding and training. This led to the opportunity to start her own business. West Hill Farm opened in 1993. A 36 stall boarding and training facility that offered boarding, training, lessons and sales to a local clientele. In 2003 she made the move to further her riding career moving on from West Hill Farm to catch ride on the East Coast A circuit.

Dusty Dog Farm was born from Christina's desire to combine her knowledge of the business with the pleasure of having a working farm and international sales business.

Throughout her career she has continued to educate herself with the help of professionals in the business including Anne Kursinski, Carl Dena, Peter Leone, and Callan Solom, to name a few.

Christina is truly passionate about the horses and the business. Whether at home or at the shows, you will find her riding, teaching or pitching in and helping wherever need be. She is usually followed by her beloved dogs.
